We come with decades of real-world, in-the-field automotive training experience, and we’ve learned the hard way what works and what doesn’t.
At Carology we believe strongly in a few key training principles:
Keep It Simple
People Learn By Doing
Consistency Counts
It’s Only Important To Them If It’s Important To You
Keep it Simple
It’s not about how much a sales consultant knows about every spec of the car. It’s about how well they can communicate the features and benefits of that car to each individual customer.
We filter through the manufacturer’s product and technical information, break it down into simple, real world terms, the way real people talk, focus on the stuff people really care about, and help sales consultants build value with each and every client.
Most other product trainings are very complex and get bogged down in the minutia. But we keep it simple and straightforward, emphasize the big picture, and try to have a little f-u-n along the way.
Carology is not about memorization, it’s about learning.
Automotive training can be boring! That’s why so many people avoid it.
People learn better when we’re having a little fun and doing something, so Carology courses are interactive, engaging and quick. Never more than 30 minutes at a time.
As opposed to kinda-sorta watching those dusty training DVDs in your backroom, your people will be actively involved, thinking, discovering, answering questions, and learning as they go.
Manufacturers spend a fortune on massive cross country ride and drives. They’re lots of fun and deliver great information about a new car… We know, we’ve trained at zillions of them!
But how much do your guys remember about it two months later? And where are those reference materials anyway? How about the people who couldn’t get away from the store that day? And the new guy you’re bringing on tomorrow?
We believe consistency not only counts, it is imperative.
In our industry there is a one-shot approach to training. And as trainers in the field we know, because we see it every day... it just doesn’t work. They learn a ton of product and technical specs in one day, but that doesn’t mean they’ll remember it all days, weeks and months later.
The only way to overcome that is by being exposed to the information over and over, building on their knowledge every time… Consistently.
Accountability is key. An important part of our service is to provide you with reports and updates about how your staff is progressing. Let’s face it. No matter how easy or quick training can be, there are those who simply won’t do it unless it’s mandatory and enforced.
A key component of Carology training is consistency. For us to deliver the results we promise, we need your people to be actively and regularly using the resources we provide.
For Carology training to be effective, your managers and sales consultants must know you are behind it and that they are held accountable.
After all, we want you to get your money’s worth and hire us again!
